How to dye your hair “such a nice shade of pink”

I’m going to link this in my info because, no offense to anyone who has asked, but I do get asked it quite a bit. I don’t find it that annoying because I have all of it memorized now, but I’m afraid some of my followers have grown tired of the question being asked.

Plus, it’s probably easier for you than to send me an Ask.

1. For bleach, I use Quick Blue by L’Oreal. I mix in Volume 40 developer into it, as much as the instructions on the Quick Blue pouch tell me, and mix until it’s at the texture the pouch instructs me to.
You do not need your hair to be WHITE, but it has to be pretty light to obtain the lighter shade of pink that I have. I have dark brown hair, so I keep it in for about 30-40 minutes, or whenever it looks light enough.
Make sure you use  A LOT of deep therapy conditioner afterward, just to make sure your hair isn’t dead from all the bleach. I use Ion Effective Care Intensive Therapy.

2. When you are dying your hair pink, it’s best to wait a day or two instead of bleaching+dying in the same night.
I use Special Effects Cupcake Pink (which you probably have to find online, I have never seen it in a store, but it may be different for you), and mix in Volume 20 developer until it gets to the shade of pink I want. Apply to hair, leave in for at least 30 minutes or until you have reached the desired shade, and wash. And that’s basically it.

Make sure if you want to touch-up roots or the color, ONLY bleach virgin hair, because you don’t want to further damage your already-bleached hair.
